ABECEDARIO ORNITOLOGICO

This artist’s book traces a journey through the mountains of central Italy, following the ridges
of the Apennines from the monumental Gran Sasso.
These high, solitary landscapes are home to numerous songbirds and birds of prey.
The book presents twenty-one birds, corresponding to the twenty-one letters of the
Italian alphabet, weaving together geography, language,
and observation in a poetic exploration of place.
